REFEREES AWARDS FOR 2023
Over the last weekend, we celebrated the season for our Referees and handed out the awards for those that excelled through the year.
From an Association perspective, it was very pleasing to see an additional 43 new Referees across the year, which is a great effort and thanks go to Darran Stones for his work in this space over a number of years.
The awards day also gave us the opportunity to present Trish Gallagher with her 50 years of service award from Basketball Victoria.
Congratulations Trish. An outstanding feat of endurance and dedication to the game we all love.

Amira Lebdeh – Most Improved Junior Female Referee 2023
Ronnie Pitfield – Most Improved Junior Male Referee 2023
Angus Carr – Most Improved Junior Male Referee 2023
Albie Reid – Encouragement Award 2023
Fletcher Ward – Encouragement Award 2023
Hugh Rolfs – Encouragement Award 2023
Elijah Rickard – Encouragement Award 2023
