Now an Olympic sport 3×3 basketball is on the rise. This January the Bellarine Peninsula Basketball Association invites you to come along and show your hoops skills in our 3×3 By the Sea tournament. There will be multiple divisions so this competition is for everyone from high level rep players to domestic players. All your results contribute to your FIBA 3×3 official ranking points making you a globally ranked 3×3 player no matter your ability! Head down the coast for the weekend and join us for an exciting showcase of 3×3 basketball!

Cost: $200 per team
Dates: Friday 17th January – Sunday 19th January 2025
Venue: Bellarine Sports Centre (Bellarine Secondary College, Drysdale Campus) & surrounding venues as required.
Games: Guaranteed 8 games
Eligibility: Anyone who fits the age requirements!
Divisions guide:
- A Grade – Team of Rep Players of approximately VJL4 and above standard or playing in your club’s VJBL 1st team.
- B Grade – Domestic Players and Rep Players in lower VJBL divisions.
- Note – a C Grade division may be created pending number of team entries and player abilities. Organisers reserve the right to move a team to a different division to entry if they believe it is in the best interest of the event.
Team size: Must have 4 players, no more or no less. This is the maximum allowed for a 3×3 event and covers the team in case of injury.
Team makeup: You can have whoever you want on your team as long as they meet the age group eligibility.
Age Groups: By year of birth.
U13 – 2013, 2014 & 2015
U15 – 2011 & 2012
U17 – 2009 & 2010
U19 – 2007 & 2008
Registration: The registration has 3 steps and must be done in the below order. Registrations close January 10th 2025.
STEP 1
- Register and pay for your team entry through PlayHQ link here:
STEP 2
- Get all your players to create a FIBA 3×3 profile if they don’t already have one. Go to this link and click signup in the bottom right hand corner to create a profile:
STEP 3
- Register your team through FIBA 3×3 Event Page. Click to the team registration page link below and register to the division you would like to participate in. Once registered add all your players to your team.

Registering a Team
- Team Contacts go to FIBA 3×3 event page – https://play.fiba3x3.com/events
- Search for the name of your event and select from results
- Click blue ‘Register Team’ button
- Add in team name and contact email
- Confirm team registration via email sent from FIBA 3×3
- On team home page, add player and then search for player profile name
