GREEN FIELDS FOR KG
In another high profile signing, former Wyndham Championship Mens player Kavione Green has moved down the Princes Highway to sign with the Bellarine Storm in Championship Men for 2024.
KG arrived in Australia back in 2020 to play for Southern Peninsula in their Division 1 Mens Program, before moving to Wyndham, where he’s played for the last 2 seasons.
The 6’3 2/3 man has averaged around 15 points per game and 10 rebounds per game in his time at Wyndham, leading their rebounding category for 2023 pulling down an impressive 9.13avg boards for the season.
Storm General Manager Aaron Lothian says “KG has proven himself at this level as a quality player, with a strong presence defensively, winning the Big V Championship Men Best Defensive Player award this last season and will be a good fit for our roster for the coming season. We can’t wait to get KG into the mix and go to work with him as soon as he touches down in Australia early in 2024”.
Of his signing with the Storm, KG says “I am blessed and grateful for the opportunity to join the club. My expectation are to compete at a winning level and also be a pioneer within the clubs youth leading and encouraging them.
On court, I look forward to adding to the dynamic of the team with my ability to play both sides of the ball and will to win is what I bring to the team”.
