VJBL Wrap Friday 26th May 2023

A much better Friday night for the Storm in VJBL last night, with 9 wins and a tie from the evening’s games.

The best team performance for the night, was our Under 12 (2) Boys who ran out 39 point victors against Coburg, whilst our Under 18 (1) Boys won by 25 points in their clash with Craigieburn. Meanwhile, our Under 12 (1) Girls took care of Blackburn by 20 points.

Individually, a couple of the usual candidates had big nights, with both Eddie Brown and Keegan Johnson bagging 27 points each in their respective games. Eddie’s contribution helped the Under 14 (1) Boys get over Wangaratta by 4 points, whilst Keegan’s bag was enough for the Under 16 (1) Boys account for Western Port by 10 points.

Rennick Carey returned 25 points of his own, in the Under 16 (3) Boys 19 point victory over Wyndham. For the girls, Sienna Quinlan contributed 16 points for our Under 18 (1) Girls, however, the final result didn’t go their way in the end. Lila Butcher also continued her consistent form of late, with 14 points for the night in our Under 12 (1) Girls 20 point victory over Blackburn
