Storm Boy’s View – Big V 2022 Round 12

Thanks Liz for the weekend off last week, now back to the action this weekend, as we head into round 12 of Big V this weekend.

Division 1 Women

Saturday 18th June v Warrnambool 5:30pm, The Arc

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside….our Division 1 Women are off to the ‘Bool for a return bout with the Mermaids on Saturday night.

It won’t be all beach balls and sand castles as the Mermaids served it up to us at home a couple of weeks ago and we’ll be looking to return the favour this week.

Expect a much better performance from the Storm in this one, following a rampaging win against Warrandyte last round, where our girls showed what they can dish up.

Division 1 Men

Saturday 18th June v  Warrnambool 7:30pm, The Arc

Also heading down the coast for the weekend are our Division 1 Men to shape up to the Seahawks, keen to keep the winning form going with another win against the hosts.

Last time these two teams met, it was a close tussle all evening, with the Storm stealing the break when it presented itself, to snatch the win.

Beaugs and the boys are really humming right now and things look to be really coming together nicely as we head towards the business end of the season.

The Storm are riding a wave right now and should be able to ‘hang ten’ and surf to another win in this one.  See what Stormy did there!

Youth League Women

Sunday 19th June v Coburg 1.00pm, Coburg Basketball Stadium

The juggernaut that is our Youth League Women make the trip to the former home of “the college of knowledge” otherwise known as Pentridge Prison.

In keeping with that, our ladies should be able to arrest any uprising from the locals and ‘lock up’ another win in this one as they go on their merry way.

Youth League Men

Sunday 19th June v Keysborough 2.00pm Bellarine Secondary College

A home game for our Youth League Men on Sunday at Storm HQ against Keysborough.

This will be a big contest for the Storm, with the Cougars sitting on top of the Watson Conference without a loss to their name so far in 2022.

Our boys will need to be switched on from the opening top off and not switch off for the entire 40 minutes of the game.  With the finals approaching, the winner of this one, will have the edge over the other heading into the post-season.

Stormy has noted an awful lot to like about the Storm and if the key play makers are on song for us today, Keysborough are definitely going to have their hands full in this one.

Now….here did I put that inflatable flamingo????……STORM BOY…….OUT!!!
