VJBL Wrap Friday 14th July 2023

A very successful night for the Storm, on the return to VJBL from the School holidays break, with 11 wins across the night.

There were some very close results, with our Under 14 Boys 3 hanging on to win by just 1 point over Coburg and our Under 14 Girls 3 side also holding off Diamond Valley by 1 point.

Individually, Sebastian Carnevale (Under 16 Boys 2) and Ned Sedgmen (Under 16 Boys 4) both returned 23 points for their teams, however, in the case of our Under 16 Boys 4, Ned’s bag of points wasn’t enough to get them the win in the end.

On the Girls side, Clara Van Hamond had 14 points for our Under 14 Girls 1 as they got the points against Altona and our VJBL player of the month for April/May Lila Butcher scored 12 in our Under 12 Girls 1 win against Eltham.

The biggest win of the night was our Under 18 Girls, who defeated Frankston by 17 points, with Sienna Quinlan and Lucy Howard both having 18 points.
