Storm Boy’s View – Big V 2022 Round 11

Boy, oh boy, what a busy weekend this weekend!  Stormy’s not sure

how he’s gonna keep up with all the action!  It promises to be bigger

than Ben Hur (kids, ask your grandparents!)

Division 1 Women

Saturday 4th June v Warrnambool 5:30pm Bellarine Secondary College

Sunday 5th June v Warrandyte 2:00pm Bellarine Secondary College

Our Division 1 Women are the head act this weekend, with 2 big and very winnable games.  We get our first chance to welcome our newest member of the Team in Charlotte Armstrong, so it’ll be super to see her in action across the weekend.

Apart from Sherbrooke at the head of the table, you could throw a onesie over the rest of the competition at the moment, so theres a real opportunity for our ladies to press and score a few wins in the coming weeks.

Stormy feels that it will be donuts for the opposition teams this weekend at Storm HQ!

Division 1 Men

Saturday 4th June v Warrandyte 7:30pm Bellarine Secondary College

Sunday 5th June v RMIT 3:00pm RMIT Sports Centre Bundoora

It’s also a big weekend for our Division 1 Men this weekend as they begin to string some nice wins together of late.

Saturday night’s opponents in Warrandyte are in the chasing pack for the top 6 and will be keen to get a win in this one, whilst on Sunday, we have a score to settle with RMIT who jumped us in Round 1 at home.

The boys are chugging along nicely at the moment and with Max Kos, Lewie Varley and Leigh Saffin in nice touch right now, all the ingredients are there for a successful weekend indeed!

Youth League Women

Sunday 5th June v Southern Peninsula 12:00 Bellarine Secondary College

Just the one game for our Youth League Women this weekend, as they host Southern Pen at Storm HQ on Sunday.

Whilst the side will be missing Gemma Morison through injury, there is still enough talent in this side to be able to get the job done this weekend and get the points.

Stormy almost needs a thesaurus to come up with some new words to describe the performance of these young ladies this season, as he’s running out of superlatives to say.  All he can say is, roll on Ladies!

Youth League Men

Saturday 4th June v Wallan 6:00pm R.B. Robson Stadium, Wallan

In our final game for preview this week, our Youth League Men travel to Wallan on Saturday night.

These two teams faced off at Storm HQ in Round 7, where after an even start, the Storm found an extra gear and recorded a comfortable victory.  Despite losing last week, Stormy expects a similar result to Round 7 in this one as well.

Enjoy the break next weekend, Stormy’s off to do some research for the second half of the season.

STORM BOY…….OUT!!!
