Big V Coach Selection Criteria
Bellarine Storm is a new Big V program looking to establish itself as a regularly competitive and successful club. The club has a strong VJBL base with the purpose of Big V teams to establish and maintain an elite pathway for juniors to progress into. Bellarine is seeking Head coaches for both it’s men’s and women’s division 1 Big V teams to lead these elite programs into our future.
Roles and responsibilities of the Head Coach:
- Coach in all games and practices
- Develop, recruit and retain players at the required level to be successful in Big V
- Implement a style of play consistent with BPBA development programs as set by the Development & High Performance Manager
- Adhere to all Basketball Victoria, Big V and Bellarine Storm policies and codes of conduct
- Oversee and assist with team fundraising
- Work closely and effectively with the Development & High Performance Manager, administration staff and BPBA board
- Encourage regular team and player engagement with VJBL teams
Selection criteria
The successful applicant will:
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Possess a valid Working With Children Check
- Hold a NCAS coaching accreditation (Performance coach/level 2 desired)
- Demonstrate ability to follow and promote the values of the BPBA and Bellarine Storm program (see values page on website)
Remuneration:
- Remuneration is commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful applicant
