VJBL Wrap Friday 31st January 2025

VJBL returned last night, following the summer school holidays break, with the season now moving into Grading Phase 2.

It was a reasonably good night, with 9 wins across the round, with the highlight being our Under 14 Girls 1 team who hung on to defeat Broadmeadows by just one point in their clash. Our other winners were our Under 12 Boys 2, Under 12 Boys 3, Under 12 Girls 1, Under 14 Boys 1, Under 14 Boys 2, Under 14 Boys 3, Under 16 Girls 1 and Under 16 Girls 2.

In terms of scoring, it was a standout night for Maya Wurfel who collected 20 points for our Under 12 Girls 1 19 point win over Dandenong, whilst Jack Pisano also reached 20 points for our Under 18 Boys 3, although it wasn’t enough to get the win against Melton, falling short by just five points at the final buzzer.
