Strait Back to Storm

The Bellarine Storm has re-signed combo guard, Courtney Strait, for the 2026 season. Strait is coming off of a strong 2025 campaign where she had the best three-point percentage in the league and earned a second-straight nomination for State Champ Women MVP. Bringing veteran leadership and an ability to score across the floor, we welcome Courtney’s return to training in February. 

State Champ Women Head Coach, Dave Smith, expressed his feelings upon Courtney’s return: “I’m excited to have Courtney back this season. She’s a vital piece as we look to take the next step in our pursuit of a championship. Her leadership, consistency, and ability to deliver in big moments helps set the standard for our group. Her experience on and off the court coupled with her competitiveness, and commitment to making everyone around her better, helps shape who we are as a team.”

Strait also commented on her re-signing: “I’m excited for another year in the blue and white. We were one step closer to the Championship last season, and this year I want to finish the job. I’m ready to make a positive impact on the team and in the Association, push myself to continue improving, and be a go-to player for my teammates.”
