Three Storm games last night in VJBL, with a mix of fortunes.
Sadly, 20 points from Madeline Shepherd wasn’t enough for our Under 12 Girls 1 to reach the Grand Final, going down to Bacchus Marsh by 7 points. A big congratulations to the team though, for making it as far as the Preliminary Final, which is a great season in the book. To the players and Coaches, we say a big thank you for your efforts across the season and for representing Bellarine so well.
It was better news for our Under 16 Girls 1 as they become the third Storm team through to the Grand Finals next week as they defeated Coburg by 5 points. The Storm will take on Sunbury next week in the decider.
And our Under 20 Boys continued on their winning way, defeating Sunbury by three points and advancing to their Preliminary Final next week, where they’ll meet Darebin.
Our Under 16 Girls 1 will join our Under 14 Boys 5 and Under 18 Girls 1 in next Friday night’s Grand Finals for VJBL 2023/24, whilst the Under 20 Boys will be striving to make a Grand Final berth also.
