It was the final round of the regular season in VJBL last night for our Storm Teams, with 12 wins across the evening.
Coming out on top of their opponents were our U12G 1, U14B 2, U14B 4, U14B 5, U14G 1, U16B 1, U16G 1, U16G 2, U18B 1, U18B 2, U18G and U20B.
As we mentioned yesterday, our U14B 4, U16G 2 and U18B 2 were needing wins to potentially make it to finals, however they are also relying on the outcomes of other games. At the time of preparing this report, all three teams managed to grab the wins to finish the first part of the mission but will relay on other results to determine their fate.
In terms of individual performances, tonight was Eddie Brown’s night as he bagged 31 points for his U16B 1 in their victory over Hawthorn by 13 points, whilst for the girls, 12 was a popular return with Shyloh Smith (U14G 1), Mae Pitfield and Sanne Davis (U16G 2) all posting a dozen points for their teams in their respective victories.
For those making the finals, we say congratulations and good luck for the coming weeks, whilst for others, whose season may have come to an end last night, we thank you for all of your efforts across the year and thank all of the coaches and parents for their commitment across the season, we trust it has been a rewarding and enjoyable experience for you all and we hope to see you back in 2024/25 to represent the Storm.
