The Bellarine Peninsula Basketball Association has been awarded the Basketball Victoria Country Commission award for “Outstanding Achievement – Large Association”.
The award is given to Country Victorian Basketball Associations in excess of 1501 registered participants and recognises an Association against a criteria including but not limited to:
- Participation, retention and growth
- Financial performance
- Contribution to the community
- Development of Athletes, Coaches and Administrators
- Operation of the National Aussie Hoops Program
In a great achievement for the BPBA, this is the third time our Association has taken out this award in six years, an achievement we are extremely proud of.
General Manager of the BPBA Aaron Lothian said “I want to express our gratitude for winning the Outstanding Achievement by a Large Association award on behalf of the Bellarine Peninsula Basketball Association”.
Lothian went on to say “It acknowledges the contributions of our players, coaches, staff, board, families, supporters, partners, sponsors and the community. It emphasises the values of dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship, that has led to the Association’s success and pledges to continue striving for greatness into the future”.
