The Bellarine Storm Representative Program is dedicated to promoting, developing and competing at the highest level of basketball in Victoria. It is the goal of the program to enable each player to reach his or her maximum potential with regard to basketball knowledge, skills and experience whilst encouraging the qualities of teamwork, respect, discipline, fair play and hard work.

Permission to Train: If you have played VJBL before and your most recent club was not the Bellarine Storm (e.g. Geelong United, Surfcoast Chargers) you will require permission to train from your most recent club before stepping on court at our tryouts. Failure to complete this will result in your child being turned away from the session until this permission is gained. The permission to train form is found on the VJBL website at this link https://www.basketballvictoria.com.au/resources/competition-resources/vjbl
Uniforms: Uniform fittings will take place at the first tryouts session for each age group on either the 3rd or 5th of October. All players (new and current) must be fitted on this day. Please arrive 30-60 minutes prior to the session start time so fittings can be done prior to the on court component starting.
Parent information:
- Parents/family members will be required to sit in the grandstand on court 1 to watch the session to ensure a safe environment on the court for all involved.
- Parents please don’t attempt to interact with the coaches or selectors on the day. They will be instructed not to interact with families at the tryouts in the interest of fairness for
all athletes trying out. - Selection panels will consist of experienced Storm coaches and the High Performance Manager. Appointed coaches who have kids in the age group may help run the floor
sessions but they will not be on the selection panels
